The 6th International Conference on Dynamics of Disasters

The study of dynamics of disasters is an important and worthwhile endeavor, with huge benefits for everyone. The island of Milos will host the 6th International Conference on Dynamics of Disasters on April, 2023, where experts share the latest findings on natural and unnatural disasters. An invitation is extended for those studying topics related to disasters to submit an abstract and paper and everyone to register to attend this conference.
INTERNATIONAL WILDLAND FIRE CONFERENCES

In May 2023, scientists and practitioners will be meeting with the committee of the 8th International Wildland Fire Conference (IWFC) in Porto (Portugal) in order to compile and draft an International Principles for Integrated Landscape Fire Management Governance. This event aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise concerning wildland fire policies, research and management. It will give guidance for national and cross-boundary policies to reduce the negative impacts of wildland fire on the environment and humanity.
The 9th Conference on Fire Effects on Soil Properties

The International Conference on Fire Effects on Soil Properties started in 2007 as the International Meeting of fire effects on soil properties. The meeting took place in Barcelona and it was organized by Mediterranean Environmental Research Group from Universitat de Barcelona, Spain. Since then, the conference has been carried out regularly. In 2021 (July 26 to 28) the 8th International Conference on Fire Effects on Soil Properties was organised in Guarapuava – Paraná – Brazil. This time (2023) the conference is organised by Stichting TERRAenVISION and the Global Fire Partnership in The Netherlands.
2nd International Congress on Fire in the Earth System: Humans and Nature

fEs2023 propose a hybrid conference with scientists, citizens and practitioners to share information, ideas and goals to use fire as a tool to achieve sustainability. Participants with backgrounds such as fire dynamics, fire risk management, fire effects on vegetation, fauna, soil and water, and socio-economic, historical, geographical are invited to the event.
Biohydrology7: “Biota, water and humans. Management for a sustainable world”

The Biohydrology7 meeting will be held in Gandia (Spain) in October 2023 (18th-22nd). The aim of the BioHydrology conferences is to provide a forum to share knowledge and networking about any topic related to the interactions between biotic systems and hydrology. Biohydrology aims to gather scientists and practitioners dealing with issues in the field of hydrology, biohydrology, biology, ecohydrology, ecology, geography and engineering in natural, agricultural, forestry and anthropogenic areas. The theme of the Biohydrology7 will be “Biota, water and humans. Management for a sustainable world”. We are planning two conference days (posters and talks), one day of mid-conference field visit and two days for a post-conference tour.
