ISCRAM is a forum where researchers and practitioners from all around the world meet every year to share experiences and raise challenges in all the aspects related to the design, development, and use of information systems to improve the management of crisis and disaster situations. The 19th International Conference on Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management is co-organized by the National School of Engineers of Tarbes and ISCRAM Organisation and it will be held in Tarbes, France on 22-25 May, 2022.

Workshops and Tutorial — May 22nd, 2022

Main Conference — May 23nd - 25th, 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic and its negative economic and social impact have cruelly highlighted the limitations of traditional crisis management mechanisms and practices facing this type of crisis within a human society that is evolving faster than its risk and security management practices. A lot of lessons are learnt, and feedback reports pointed out the lack of suitable plans, proactivity, training, resources, computerized tools, etc. ISCRAM 2022 will focus on shaping the future of large-scale CRISIS Management by studding issues, feedbacks and potential solutions addressing more proactivity, accurate prediction, supply chain management, planning, social aspects, communication, cross countries collaboration, etc.

ISCRAM 2022 focus will not be limited to pandemics crisis, but it will promote research and development, exchange of knowledge and deployment of information systems for crisis management, including the social, technical and practical aspects of all information and communication systems used or to be used in all phases of management of different emergencies, disasters and crises.

SAFERS will be presenting during Workshop number 2 "Intelligent Crisis Management Technologies (ICMT) : Big Data Analytics and AI for Disaster Risk Reduction" along with relevant EU H2020 co-funded projects: beAWARE, IN-PREP, CURSOR, aqua3S, INGENIOUS, NIGHTINGALE, FASTER, SHELTER, FIRELOGUE, and DRYADS.

This workshop will be divided into two main sessions. The first session is focused on technological Big Data and AI trends of crisis management and state-of-the-art technologies together with novel works. The second session will be a brainstorming session that will outline and create the white paper based on a panel discussion with experts and the audience. Topics such as Information systems for crisis planning and response, Preparedness and Response Planning, cross-agency interoperability, Scenario building and Training tools for response planning will be discussed.
